The Prologue set up an excellent introduction to the plot of the story. A peek into how a parent-child dynamic can be jarring for a teenager. Before even getting into the first chapter, I wanted to open myself up to something I had never physically been through in my life. No one was staring at my chest as a teenager. However, being taller and thin did cause unwanted looks. Especially because neither attribute was used for sports.

And then, I began the first chapter. I already adore Greer. And now in my 40's and the mother of a teenage daughter, I find myself relating to her mom a bit.

The cover is one I would pick up because the current appeal of illustrations is smart. I enjoy that the art picks up on the main focus of the synopsis. Sometimes cover go strictly to get readers to buy because it's pretty and do not have any relation to the plot, but that is not the case for this one. I appreciate that very much.

I cannot wait to finish the book.
