The author instantly draws the reader into the inner thoughts of a teenage girl. I loved Geer's thoughts about her family especially her mother and the work she does. I felt an instant connection with Geer's body image outlooks, as with most it is hard to go through high school and not be looked down upon for the way girls develop faster than others or the lack of development. I loved the way Jackson was introduced and how he came off as a genuine nice guy as well as his sense of humor. I can't wait to read more about how these two characters will develop a more meaningful connections inside and outside school.
The cover of the book was well designed with the use of a cartoon talking bubble over the part of the body the girl seems to have the most comments about from other.
