This was a very intriguing thriller set in the 1970’s. Full of murder and mayhem. It’s the second book from this author I have read. She definitely has a way with her words that sucks the reader in from the first page!
Jane is a newly promoted detective, following several clues, and tries to solve several murders that she somehow thinks are all linked. All while dealing the office politics at works, like all her colleagues think they can do a better job than her because they are men, and they are better than women. They attempt to unndermine her every chance they get.
She does her job diligently, and powers on, despite her surroundings. She’s determined to figure out the mystery behind these dead bodies, before more start piling up.
Overall, this was a great mystery. I enjoyed it, and I would recommend it.
