I had never heard of this series until now and it definitely seems like it is right up my alley as I love mysteries with a female detective as the lead character. I also like how the time period and setting is 1979 London. Even though this isn't the first book in the series, the author so far did a decent job giving a little backstory to catch readers up with what has already taken place in previous books. Definitely am interested in learning more about the main character, Jane Tennison.
