Mrs. Plansky's retirement isn't quite as she thought it would be. Her beloved husband has died, her adult children aren't quite as settled in life as she'd like, her grandchildren don't call often, and her dad's senior living situation isn't working out well either. Then, she receives a phone call in the middle of the night alleging to be from her grandson, who is in desperate need of money. You, as the reader know she's too smart to fall for this, right? Wrong! From there the story really takes off as Mrs. Plansky decides to take getting justice into her own hands. She's smart, feisty, fearless, and a good tennis player to boot.

This was a very fun read. The writing is good. The characters develop nicely. You will care for many of them. I'd love to read another book with these characters, but I don't see Mrs. Plansky falling for another scam.
