"Mrs. Plansky's Revenge" by Spencer Quinn was an enjoyable read. It follows the adventures of Loretta Plansky. Loretta is a recent widow in her seventies living in a retirement community in Florida. Even though her husband has recently passed away, Loretta is making the best of her life. Due to an invention and wise investments, she is financially secure. Overnight, she finds herself in financial ruin. She receives a call late at night and is lead to believe that the person on the telephone is her grandson, who is in dire straits and needs her immediate assistants. As any good, trusting grandmother, she comes to the aid of her grandson, only to find out the next day that all of her funds have been withdrawn from her accounts. The local authorities and FBI are on the case. However, the chances of recovering any of her money are slim to none. The only lead she has, is the name of a small town in Romania. Taking matters into her own hands, Loretta decides to head to Romania and retrieve her money. Thus, the adventure begins.
