Another great book in my favorite new genre: spunky old people! Mrs. Plansky was not going to go quietly into old age after being scammed! (which, btw, there are some safeguards in place to keep some of what happened to her from actually happening, thankfully!) Instead she used her sweet old lady-ness, nosiness, and some solid luck, to piece together what happened to her money. Along the way she naturally made friends with people who would in turn help her out. I enjoyed how the story moved along similarly to how one would expect an older person who is recovering from hip surgery might move: slow, cautious, and at some times unsteady. I also thought constantly referring to the main character as Mrs. Plansky gave a good mental impression of the character. Perhaps the only thing I didn't like were her children who only came to her for money. This is a solid cozy.
