I appreciate the new trend of having older protagonists in mystery novels, so this one seemed intriguing, at least at first, particularly in the 'older protagonist gets revenge against scammers' premise. However, I *really* disliked the writing style, and it seemed a bit xenophobic too, at least potentially.
