The author seems to be setting up the story well in the first 37 pages. The reader has gotten to know Loretta Plansky and her family members a little. One also has gotten a feel for what Dinu’s life is like. No one likes to see an elderly person swindled out of their money. Already, I’m hoping Loretta will come out on top. I’m hoping Dinu doesn’t get caught up in all this unscrupulous behavior for too long and becomes a good person in the end.
