I haven't read anything by this author, however he does seem familiar to me. I really liked his writing, which strikes a nice balance between humorous and compelling. This story seems like it has an interesting premise, as I've often wondered about what becomes of the elderly who fall prey to these phone scams. The cover is a bit plain, however, for such a nuanced story.
