Based on the summary of this book, it will deal with internet theft and the opening and a later chapter are set in a foreign country and computers appear to be involved. However, the selection we have primarily develops Mrs. Plansky's story--her personality, quite a bit of her history, and her family as well. This will most likely help the reader become more involved as her fortunes take a bad turn.
