First off, I think that the cover is sort of dark and not very interesting. It doesn't make me want to read the blurb on the back or look to see what the book is about. Second, after reading the preview, I'm determined that I do not want to read this book. I don't typically read historical books or books about real events. I find them to me too sad and too emotional. I'm sure that this is a very well written book that will appeal to a lot of people. It's just not the right book for me.
