Might be interesting for those interested in the subject

This book was interesting--it sounds like it is about a past immigrant family from Cuba and then cuts to the near present Coast Guard. I'm not much into military novels, although the immigrant story sounded interesting, and the writing seemed a bit "macho" for my reading tastes, but might be great for someone interested in military novels.
