When I first heard of this book I was intrigued with the concept of an unexpected friendship and the passion of one friend to find the other even if it threatens his own life. After reading the first few pages I know that I definitely want to read this book. The author is very descriptive without overdoing it. She has taken us into the life of a farm family during the 1960's, a time when the country was optimistic about all the positive things they expected would come from John F. Kennedy's presidency. She makes a clear contrast between the life of Jacky Kennedy and her elaborate clothing. The stage is set as the beginning of the friendship between Isaac and Pete is established. I can't wait to read more.
