I dont even know where to start with this book. I will be honest and tell the title of the book caught my eye. I read the synopsis and was very intrigued.

This book was a struggle to get through for me. I felt like there was little to know tension throughout the entire book. Yes Pete lost his best friend but he didn't look that hard. He meets Dovey his future wife while looking for Isaac in the pig wells at the old mill. They become friends and the story just happens.

Money seemed to be the answer in solving all the problems in this book. Daddy Ballard owned pretty much everything it seemed...

They figure out Isaac was hit by a car while jumping a ladies car on the highway the killers take the body and hide it in a cave by Doveys house. Doveys dad gets blamed...Pete's mom Lila has been falling for John for a while at the point where John is blamed.

Again the story just happens and at snails pace. Story had a ton of promise. The nice thing is for a book with a Christian vibe it wasnt overly churchy...I wish I could give it a better review but it was boring.
