Missing Issac is a book about a boy Pete who's dad dies in an accident. His dad's farm hand steps in and takes on a bigger role in his life. Issac goes missing without a trace.
The author takes you on Pete's journey, over the course of 4 years, to find his missing friend. You see Pete grow up into a fine respectable young man. These characters don't treat anyone differently than they would their own family members. This wasn't something you saw a lot of in the south in the 1960's.
You get to meet each character as their own person. I really liked that about this authors writing. She makes the book flow from one thing to another. I couldn't put this down since I read the exert. I sincerely hope the author writes more books. I would love to read more of them.
