This is a wonderful but difficult read. The story is amazingly well done. The real power of the writing is in the characters. Due to this excellent writing the reader is fully immersed in the relationship between Pete and Isaac. Their love and concern for one another is palpable. Without giving anything away, even though it isn't as happy an ending as one would hope it is still satisfying that their friendship lives on. This author did an exceptional job if making the reader truly feel they know them and love them, making the way the story unfolds that much more emotional. This is a story that is very valuable in it's telling, but definitely difficult to know how much a reflection of reality this fiction is.
