Would like to find out more
This short extract appeals on many levels. My father's family is from a small town, semi-rural Southern environment, and the time frame of the novel is my own teen years. Insights from others into that time and place are always of interest. Then there is the question - why is Isaac soaking wet? And what happens next?
The cover is evocative of the time, though perhaps a tad bucolic.
The writing was very descriptive and gave a feel of the time and place. My only 'complaint' is the first sentence of the novel is awkwardly constructed and I had to read it twice to make sense of it.
