From the synopsis of the book to the first 4 pages, it seems like it might be something I would be interested in reading. The time period is of interest to me, and after reading the intro, I am curious what happened to the boy's father. I assume he died and then it will skip forward in time and the boy will be an adult and trying to locate the missing person. It's a lot of guessing, I know, but we aren't given much to go on.
