I was only able to read a few pages but they were already full of information of family dynamics and the tragedy that would soon befall the young protagonist. I was impressed with how much story was packed into those pages and I look forward to when I can continue to read about what comes next.
The author did not waste time bringing us into young Pete's world and she definitely made us care about what him and his family are going through. Not many authors can do so, so quickly.

While it is a beautiful cover that reminds me of a watercolor painting, it is also one I would quickly pass by. It think it could be more dynamic, especially considering the emotional ride the author will most likely take us on.
