Wasn't a very long sample to read, but even from that short excerpt I can tell that the author has a talent for setting up a scene. it was so vividly written that I could feel I was there myself in the midst of the crisis. It was also a realistic type of tragedy that could occur in that region. Definitely interested to see where the story goes from there.
