I was raised in Detroit during 1960's, and my family is from the South, and found myself confused as to why every one felt blacks and whites were different from each other. I always saw everyone as the same, and it got me into a few scrapes. As a 60 year old today I still hurt that there is still hate and prejudice in the world. This book holds a lot of interest to me and if I don't win it I will still read it.
