The excerpt itself was disappointing as it was only actually 4 pages after the title page, publisher page, dedication page, table of contents. We don't need these in an excerpt!
As for the small snippet of story we got, I'm confused by it. It's not enough to hook me. I don't feel like it's enough of a pull into the story. Even though the end of the chapter is a cliffhanger. My one question at the end of the excerpt is "Why is the book called Missing Isaac?"
