Reading this book feels like being welcomed into a small southern town. The characters smile at you and want to know your story as much as you want to know theirs. And bit by bit, sentence by sentence, the story and the town start to open up to you.
I want to know more about this town and its residents. What secrets will be revealed?
So far (50 pages in), it seems like it will be a relaxing summer read meant to be enjoyed on a porch swing with a glass of sweet tea. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of this book and, most importantly, learning if we will get to share the recipe for its famous Blackbird Pie...which includes no blackbirds at all!
