Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe was the cutest story that I had to read from start to end AS FAST AS I COULD!!!!! It was the "Hart of Dixie" or "Steel Magnolias" for me.
The quaint town in Alabama at first held nothing for Anna Kate. She came to originally wrap up her late grandmother's loose ends. She definitely wasn't prepared for what she got though! She got more than what she thought, and thank goodness. Grandma's always have something up their sleeves, and Granny Zee did not disappoint.
I loved the author's descriptions and ability to show the many different relationships and personalities of the many different characters that were all inextricably linked. The focal point being the infamous cafe and its pie.
I seriously cannot gush enough about this sweet story. I wanted some pie myself after reading this into the wee hours of the morning.
