I really enjoyed Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe. This book will definitly not become canon, but it's just right for a beach read, or for a light, cute book after you've read something heavy or sad. In this book, you cheer for the characters, hope for romances to blossom, and keep your fingers crossed for the happy ending. We get all of this and more! There is even a little magic for the reader to enjoy. This book will leave the reader feeling happy and satisfied. While it won't win any awards for being earth shattering, it does what it is meant to do--give the reader a nice, quaint, fluffy read, which is exactly what you need sometimes. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who liked romantic comedies. There is a little magical realism that could appeal to readers who appreciate that genre. Definitely give this book a try if you enjoy light reads.
