Midnight at the Blackbird Café...what can I say? This is one book to savor and enjoy. The characters are strong, charming and will stay in my mind long after I've read this book. I love how Heather Webber fully introduced the characters...at the top of the page you knew exactly who was the focus at that moment.
The story revolves around Anna Kate's return to Wicklow to bury her grandmother Zee and to stay at Wicklow and run the café as per the will for several months. In that time, the Wicklow, the blackbirds and the mulberry trees, the pies..all weave their magic.
A charming book and definitely will look for this author's books from now on. I hope we haven't heard the last of Wicklow...and the blackbirds.
