Anna Kate is in Wicklow after the passing of her grandmother to run the family cafe for a few months before she can sell it and return to medical school. Natalie and her daughter have been forced back home to live with her mother. Only a few chapters in and you can feel the small town secrets and jealousies. Add to that the mystery and connection of the blackbirds and what makes the cafe's pie so very special? This book is going to go down like a tall glass of ice cold sweet tea on a hot summer afternoon! I can not wait to watch it all unfold. In the meantime, I will be running an extra mile every morning in anticipation of all the pie I'll be craving (am already craving) while reading this book!
