A little mystery, a little mysticism and old hurts in the small town South. Terrific writing and the southern way of speaking was spot on in this story. Loved the cast of town folks and the main character, Anna Kate. Her return after her grandmother’s death is dragging up old wounds in her father’s family she’s never know. The mystery of the blackbirds is intriguing and the hint of magic that comes with them. Will definitely be on my to read list.
