This isn't the usual genre that I gravitate to. However, it sounds like it will be interesting even though I don't think it will live up to Fried Green Tomatoes, which it's being compared to. I wasn't immediately attached to the characters and I'm still lukewarm about the plot, but the writing style is very engaging.
