Anna returns to the small town her mother grew up when her grandmother Zee passes away and leaves her the Blackbird Café. Anna, while convinced she's going to be a doctor, clearly is at a crossroads in her life. Nothing like a small community to clear that up! Especially when your remaining grandparents hate your mother because they're convinced she killed their son (your father).
