First of all, the cover on this book is gorgeous!! Yes, I am attracted to books by their covers and this one is exceptional! The first chapter of the book immediately drew me into the little town of Wicklow, Alabama where we find Faylene Wiggins dealing with the recent death of her beloved Grandmother. She has been living the last few years in the northeast so you can imagine the cultural shock when she returns to Wicklow to take care of her Grandmother's estate. The little diner her Grandmother ran needs managed, as well as the house. Faylene is determined to take care of the estate matters and get out of town, back to the northeast where she plans to attend medical school next semester. But will that happen? As she gets drawn into the lives of those still left in the dying town, things start to happen.
