Midnight at the Blackbird Cafe so far seems like a pretty fun book. I enjoyed the author's voice. The story is set in a small town in Alabama, which is a setting I haven't read too many books in.
From the beginning, there are a lot of unanswered questions. Why did Anna Kate's mother leave Alabama, vowing never to return? What is their connection to blackbirds? Does this have anything to do with the nursery rhyme? All of these questions I'm guessing will be answered in the book. It sounds good.
