I am always looking for books to catch my attention from the beginning. If I have to spend 50 pages getting into a book, I feel as though it is a waste of time. This book had that effect on me.
It was not off to a bad start, necessarily, just slow. Sometimes slow-developing stories are good; in fact, I think this one might end up being one of the good ones. But for a first impression, I was not that impressed.
