This book touches on many relevant topics that are coming to the forefront in culture today. This book is about fitting in, belonging, and identity. It is also about personal values and ethics. The main character immigrates from Bombay as a child and then must redefine who he is and how he lives.
This book also looks at interaction between races and is a critic good intentions with a negative outcome.
It was hard not to get emotionally involved with the main character. That is the sign of a good book, I must admit.
I found the ending a bit flat. The book started out very strong, and I wish the momentum would have continued throughout the last third or so of the book. I thikn many will enjoy this book.
