I really liked Raj Bhatt and what he represents in America currently. I feel that there are a lot of people that are living in America that feel unsure if they truly belong there or feel marginalized as a member of society. In Raj's case, he is a member of a Tennis Club where he serves on committee. He and his children are one of the only members of the club that are not white. When the Brown's (a black husband and wife) are presented as possible members, Raj's awkwardness gets the best of him. His week gets even better when a group of college students decide that he is anti-christian and start a hunger strike. By the end of the week, Raj has bought a gun and is not really sure why. I really loved the writing style of this author and the uniqueness of this book. I will be recommending this to others. I want to read more from this author in the future.
