First, thank you to BookishFirst for the free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I'm not sure how to rate this book. The entire book took place over a one-week period. Instead of chapters, the book took us through day by day, making the chapters very long. We're thrown into the situation when the MC makes a racist joke in the first chapter. From there, we follow him as his life starts to fall apart.

I expected the book to be more about how the tennis club reacted and dealt with the joke. Instead the book focused on how the MC, a teacher at a college, is targeted due to one of his lectures. By the time we reached the end of the book, I had forgotten about the tennis club.

That said, the last two chapters saved the book for me. I couldn't put it down by that point. But that's quite a long time to not be able to put it down. The subject matter is very important, which is why I recommend the book. I had higher hopes, though.
