This book really made me think about my own perceptions and biases. I loved the character development as it was very thorough and well done. I did love all of the descriptions of the club and this book made me evaluate what I would do in a similar situation. We all make mistakes but it is difficult when you get branded with a label like racist or bigot. I felt so very badly for the main characters and reading about them all was very interesting because they seemed real and likable even when doing cringe-worthy things.
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for an interesting read that examines what it means to be a minority navigating the world of high society. Bigotry is a difficult main topic to embrace in a novel, but in this one the author does a very good job making it relatable and not as uncomfortable for the reader as it could have been.
