I am a slow reader, and also like to read multiple books at the same time. This book, though, caused me to put all other reading to the side, and finish it in a weekend. Members Only tackles large societal issues alongside personal relateable issues and, so, illustrates well the commonalities among seemingly different people through Raj's struggles with middle age, career, kids, finances. Layered on that are much larger issues of race. The macro and micro stories weave together well!
In addition to the struggles Raj is having in his own life, along with his considerations of race, culture and ethnicity, there is also some drama mixed in as some threats are introduced. This book crosses multiple genres making it appealing to a wide audience.
