Members Only is a timely novel that tackles race and the experience of racism from several different angles and perspectives. Even more importantly, it does this well!
The story centers around Raj, an Indian American man who is the victim of on-going micro aggressions as well as overt racism, who is then accused of racism and reverse-racism.
Over the course of a week, Raj comes face to face with an onslaught of professional, personal, and cultural challenges that test his strength of character.
This story is extremely well-written and is told in first person point of view. The voice is authentic and intimate, making Raj a character than you can really empathize with and root for, even through his mistakes.
