Loved this excerpt and wanted to keep reading! Pandya does an excellent job of combining humor with subtle (and not so subtle) examples of racial perception and stereotypes and the difficulties of navigating life as a minority. Raj's point of view is easy to read and understand and, as if he were a real person, I felt both angry at and embarrassed for him after he let slip his racist joke. I am eager to continue exploring the dynamics between him and the other club members, predominantly white, and the prejudice he experiences from them as an Indian man. Thank you for the sample!!
