The author didn't waste any time getting to the cringe-worthy moment when Raj makes a racist comment to an African-American physician in a crude attempt to become friends with him. While the first look didn't do much for me, I'd be curious to learn how the author portrays the evolution of Raj and his fellow club members as they explore racial bias and the effect it has on them all.
