This is an interesting premise that takes a deep dive on race and social pressures and the ways spaces can feel inclusive — or actively biased and unwelcoming. While I think this could be an interesting story to read, I don’t love the cover. If feels a little boring, with the focus really just the blue background representing the pool and the yellow swimming cap in the middle. I think it would have been better to visually represent the main character in some way.
