The cover, title, and synopsis immediately reeled me in! Right off the bat, I connected to Raj’s background and the subtle nuances of being a first generation Asian American in California. Raj seemed like a well-meaning, yet obviously flawed character, as evidenced by the seriously ill-advised “joke” he made. I’m eager to understand his thought process more and to see him grow in this novel.
