I deeply enjoy books about diversity and cultural acceptance, which is one of the reasons this book really caught my attention.
Within the first five pages, the main character is the victim of a microagression, when his three letter name is forgotten and he's called Kumar. This surprisingly heartbreaking moment, coupled with the rest of Pandya's writing, made me feel Raj's struggle in just a few short pages, and it's safe to say I need to see how the rest of the story plays out for our main character!
