From the get-go in this book, we have a big event happening, an execution, and it caught my attention. The narrator gives you a glimpse into daily life AND the fact that this moment stands out all at once. The writing seems so easy and simple while conveying that something is brewing and simmering beneath the surface. It seems like it will be a really interesting story!
