My first impression of Masquerade is that the cover is very dark and indicative of a power struggle. I do like the title.
I think this would be an intense read about power struggles.
The only turnoff for me with this blurb is that the names are hard to read/pronounce and I would stumble over them every time I read them in the book. I understand why authors choose names they choose, however as a reader, I know that it will drive me crazy trying to read it.
