Out cover shows a woman in a beautiful red robe with golden flowers surrounding her. But take a look at her face; it is as though she is scared, possessed even. The the trunk and tusks of the elephant keeping her held back. I love this story so far due to the descriptive details of Timbuktu, her home and all of her thoughts. I also like the element of another language being added to t really give the feel of the place. I’m rating it 4 stars for now since I still want to see what’s to come. Other than that, I think this is an excellent book!
