I was waiting for Masquerade to come up on Bookish First, because I was instantly intrigued by the synopsis. I enjoyed the excerpt so much! The writing had a nice flow to it, and I liked the way the characters (and the world they inhabited) were introduced. The details really painted a vivid image, and I’m looking forward to reading more of the story.
