This book was sort of hard to get into. I picked it up several times only to put it down again. But finally once I committed to reading it, I was able to put it to good use. It’s not a long book and while the concepts aren’t earth-shattering they are good reminders of things we need to do to to keep your marriage safe. I think people tend to get complacent and that’s the problem. Like all relationships marriages need continued work and maintenance. The comparison to a garden was a good example of how to co timid to nurture and cat for these types of relationships. Overall it was also nice that it was a quick read and not like a textbook. I would recommend everyone that is married should breeze through this book to better prepare them for these types of situations and become a better spouse. Remember it’s not about keeping score but doing your part.
